Add my objections to sex-positivity and we’re probably in complete agreement. It seems that there is a spectrum and existing labels fail us. [Reply] Susan Walsh Reply: June 24th, 2010 at 9:31 pm That’s my point! We may hold the same views, but obviously differ on what that means for women. I see a set of circumstances and think, “this sucks for women” and I guess you see the same thing and think, “this is pretty good for women.” I guess is depends on one’s frame of reference, standards, and expectations. I knew this slightly built guy who was being beaten up by his beefy brother when they both lived in the same house. I said “That’s domestic violence!” The slightly built brother was having depression issues at the time and that may be why his brother was beating him up, but financially it is possible the depressed brother was trapped in the living situation. I still say…”that’s domestic violence!” he needed to go to a shelter! [Reply]
